PayPal is looking for a Software Engineer who will be able to help the team in building new suite of tools by understanding the customers requirements, enhance DevOps/Release Management processes etc. This position will require a technical understanding of PayPal’s products as well as the ability to analyse and resolve live technical and integration issues. Leadership and adaptability are a key component to this position as it will require building strong relationships across the organisation. You’ll work closely with our Product team in an agile environment to bring features from conception to launch.

What do you need to bring:

• Experience in coding with Java and/or Python.
• Experience in DevOps/Release Management processes like CI-CD is a big added advantage.
• Basic Hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, and REST services.
• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with Big data technologies such as Big Query, pub-sub services, Query builder, and Cost optimisation.
• Ability to understand Server APIs and implement tools on top of them to automate various processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills including speaking to technical and business audience.
• Sound knowledge of Linux, containers and deployment methodologies.
• Under senior team member’s supervision, work with different teams during product development/releases.
• Ability to think creatively and work independently.
• Ability to learn, explore and experience new products/technologies with materials and self-learning.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Manage workload and other assignments efficiently while being able to resolve time-critical situations reliably and professionally.
