The Singapore System Design team has a direct impact on commuter experience with improvements such as shorter intervals between trains, less service disruptions, and faster travel times thanks to our driverless communication based train control systems. In particular, the team is leading the development and use of cloud-based solutions to leverage the abundance of data generated during day to day passenger operation for railways in every continent.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in system performance monitoring and root cause analysis of issues faced in passenger metro operation or during testing using could-based data analysis tools
- Advise software engineers on development of new use cases for the data analytics tools used by Thales’ rail systems worldwide, and contribute to the development from a front-end design, data configuration and testing perspective
- Work in our world class CBTC simulation facility to support testing, configuration and verification
- Participate in system design document updates and reviews
- Support an innovative team in meeting customer requirements
Technologies We Use:
- Languages: Python (Pandas, Numpy, etc)
- Tools: MS Office, Azure, Docker, Git, ELK, Windows, Linux
Who You Are:
- Pursuing a degree in an Engineering field or in Computer Science
- Curious and willing to learn technical skills fast and on the fly
- Have strong communication skills to interface with Thales personnel around the globe
