CloudWatch is an observability platform that gives customers actionable visibility into the health of their applications and the infrastructure that runs them. Key features include the storage and retrieval of data that make up the 3 key pillars of observability: logs, metrics and traces. CloudWatch also includes a presentation layer that helps customers make sense of this data through eye catching contextual visualisations. Teams in CloudWatch solve problems of massive telemetric data scale, distributed systems/cloud computing, data visualization, and user workflows.
We are currently looking for front-end developers to build world-class user interfaces for our customers. Are you interested in web technologies? We are looking for smart, motivated Front-End Engineers passionate about delivering a world-class customer experience to help take CloudWatch to new heights.
If you have the skills and motivation for building high-performing, customer-friendly products that delight, and are interested in cutting-edge cloud computing at scale, this is the job for you.
Successful candidates for this position should have a strong interest in building web applications using current technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS; while also familiar with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Redux. Working with RESTful APIs and object-oriented programming is desired.
Equally important to these specific skills are a candidate’s ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.
To qualify, applicants must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields at time of application.
Key job responsibilities
• Build reusable JavaScript components in React for use in our product and across AWS
• Deliver new user interfaces by using engineering designs and concepts
• Work closely with our Senior Engineers and stakeholders to deliver quality features to our customers
• Collaborate with the rest of the team on improvements for existing features
• Contribute to the development lifecycle, from concept through planning and implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous technical internship(s)
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly
• Experience with distributed multi-tiered systems, data structures and algorithmic complexity.
