As an Amazon Security Software Development Engineer (SDE), you’ll help to build and manage services that detect and automate the mitigation of cyber threats across Amazon’s infrastructure. You’ll work with data scientists, security engineers, and other software development engineers across multiple teams to develop innovative security solutions at massive scale. Our services protect the cloud for all customers and preserves our customers’ trust in us. You’ll get to use the full power and breadth of technologies to build services that proactively protect every single customer, both internally and externally, from security threats – not many teams can say that!

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Graduated less than six months ago or about to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields at time of application Although no specific programming language is required – you should be familiar with the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving and complexity analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous technical internship(s) Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
