About The Team

Digital Adoption is an emerging innovation space in the software industry, which strives to let end-users fully embrace products rather than just simply use them. This field is fuelled by recent technological advances in machine learning, allowing software products to become context aware and adapted to the needs of individual users. Workday is investing in Digital Adoption as part of a strong continued focus on providing a top-class user experience for its customers.

As a result of this investment, we are recruiting an experienced XO developer to join a recently formed User Success Platform development team in our UI Platform group in Dublin. This group is tasked with building the end user-facing layers of the Workday products.

About The Role

The successful candidate will join a full stack development team. To ensure the team is agile, team members are supported in broadening their skill set if they wish to do so. Opportunities exist to learn about areas of the stack that they may not be fully familiar with. This means that besides initially taking care of the core XO work, this role is a great path into a more generic full stack role with learning opportunities on the frontend and backend side.

Modern technologies are used to ensure that our products have the best possible user experience. We have a tech stack based on Java & XO in the backend with frontends currently being developed mainly in React.

To be successful and able to hit the ground running, it would be important to have a solid base in XO development. Other skills can be built up as part of the job. Also, if you are passionate about data analytics and machine learning then that would certainly be a plus, since a lot of our advanced features will heavily rely on ML to ensure we interact with users in the right way and at the right time.

For this role we are looking for a self-starter who doesn’t get phased by complex challenges without being given detailed direction.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you’ll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote “home office” roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
