Job Description

The OpenShift Engineering Automated Release Tooling team is looking for a Software Engineering Intern. In this role, you will work as a member of a team responsible for designing, implementing, operating, improving, and maintaining the software systems used to build, test, and release OpenShift.

An intern in this position will become deeply familiar with the enterprise grade OpenShift build systems and processes to ensure that product releases and critical fixes are delivered on time to customers. You will help write tooling for the team that will improve the productivity for the team and Openshift organization.

We’re looking for people who are eager to grow in a supportive environment, and excited to learn the skills required for success. You’ll need to be smart, friendly, self-driven, collaborative, curious, and passionate about process improvement and automation.

What you will do

  • Work with team lead on tooling requirements
  • Once design provide start on technical implementation
  • Learn build system
  • Collaborate with QE and other teams
  • Document the new tooling and usage for other teams
  • Integrate new components into build system when needed

What you will bring

  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency with RHEL/Fedora Linux based operating systems
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI tools
  • Knowledge of git and Github
  • Golang knowledge is preferred
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic
