The QA team supporting the key recommendation features of Apple Music is looking for a passionate summer intern. We are a group of friendly international engineers and researchers who share a real love for engineering, DevOps, machine learning, audio signal processing and music. Our mission is to connect artists and music lovers. We research, design and build the next generation of recommendation and playlisting services. As a member of the team, your task will be to help us with our testing infrastructure such that we can release with confidence our ML solutions that can impact future Apple products.

Key Qualifications

• Knowledge of Java (or other Object Oriented Languages). Scala is a plus.
• Experience with QA concepts (e.g. automated testing, capacity testing a plus) and deployment
• Ability to tackle difficult problems with innovative and maintainable solutions
• Understanding of Machine Learning is a plus
• Experience with defect/test management tools

Description

In this role you will apply your engineering skills to help us build out our automated testing infrastructure in the context of machine learning services. Working alongside a team of experienced software engineers and QA towards increasing quality of our deployments. Your impact will help us reduce time to market for new features. You’ll work on one of the most exciting platforms in industry-scale machine learning, with innovative resources at Apple, including huge compute grids, top-quality machine learning tools, and massive quantities of data. Based at our new office in Battersea, you will also occasionally collaborate with other teams at Apple in the US. Is this you? If so we’d love to hear from you!

Education & Experience

Enrolled in a BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent.
