What You’ll Bring
- Currently working towards a degree in a relevant engineering program such as Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics
- A Passion for audio, self-motivation, and a desire to work in fast paced environment
- Technical experience in audio products
- Previous exposure to CAD an advantage
- Hands-on experience in measurements of acoustic components and audio electronics
- Strong problem-solving & debugging skills
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis an advantage
- Good written and oral English communication skills
What You’ll Do
- Support the product development of speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and other audio system products
- Gain a knowledge of our components and audio systems, relative to a vehicle environment and integration
- Work with suppliers on design, development, manufacturing processes and validation of audio products
- Collaborating – Participate in cross-functional discussions with mechanical, electrical, DSP, NVH, QA, program management, and manufacturing
- Simulations – Support simulations of acoustic components, systems, and environments
- Prototyping – Support early acoustic prototype development to de-risk new technologies
- Validation – Generate a test plan that includes milestones that focus on de-risking product and/or feature deployment and align with the program timeline
- Characterization – ensure the hardware meets required design criteria across a host of environments and regulations while collaborating with the reliability, test and homologation teams
- Debugging – Optimize the system designs including DSP, amplifier, speaker, microphone, and acoustic environment
