Job Description Summary:Own implementation of a module/application/product
Participate complex architectural discussions that involve multiple systems.
Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery.
Drive engineering excellency through CI/CD/automation
Pro-active response in identifying and troubleshooting integration or technical issues.

The Notifications Central Team is responsible for delivering 200MN + notifications a day across multiple channels like SMS, Email, Whatsapp, Push Notifications etc. This team work on complex distributed system to manage and deliver highly scalable product at large. In this role you will be responsible for driving key customer engagement and enable business value for the company. You will also be responsible for ensuring platform reliability and modernization efforts or future scaling needs of building Notifications Platform for all communication needs at PayPal
Your day to day:
You will engage with Team leads and Product owners to work on features, enhancements, and quality goals.
You are also required to engage with customers and cross functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and with right acceptance criteria.
You are required to build domain knowledge for all channels that we support at Notifications platform.
You are required to work with the team, help define sprint goals/objectives and work on sprint deliverables.
Effective collaboration, proactive communications and working as a team are the key behaviour you are required to demonstrate.

What do you need to bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in the software development.
- Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, knowledge of object orienteddesign, Design Patterns and multi-threaded programming
- Competent in understanding the requirements and test scenarios
- Ability to document about work, design choices, implementation. Should have experience in creating Low Level Design
- Strong OOP skills, with ability to analyse requirements and transform into scalable software designs.
- Experience with HTTP, REST API’s and competent designing and building web services/microservices in a commercial setting.
- Competent in design/implementation for reliability, availability, scalability and performance.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Hands on Java Programming Expertise (Core Java, J2EE, Spring framework)
- Hands on Building Restful Services.
- Follow coding and design best practices
- Exhibit one team behaviour and work with several stakeholders and team members cohesively.
