Data & Product Analytics: The Role

We are looking for a Product Data Analyst to drive product decisions using extensive data analysis. You will be working with cross-functional teams composed of product consultants and UI/UX designers to help achieve Product Success.

Role Specifics – Day in the Life: 

  1. Provide analytical insights on the product led user experience to help set the product direction and enhance user experience.
  2. Derive product data analysis, mine data for insights, test and validate hypotheses about user behavior.
  3. Use data to improve product performance KPIs & metrics.
  4. Measure & drive adoption and engagement of the product, down to individual features and feature updates.
  5. Conduct extensive data analysis around user retention and assist the Product Consulting team with data driven findings for the overall Product Success.
  6. Assist the Product Team for a product roadmap as well as product strategy using data.
  7. Be able to bring Data to life via Historical and Real-Time Dashboard like:

– Traffic Metrics, broken by Source, Channel, etc

– Build reports and run analytics on paid marketing channels like Google / Facebook etc.

– Transaction behavior analytics

– Cohort analytics, broken by channel level, demographic level, source of acquisition level etc

– User level analytics

– Propensity models and personalization models, eg what’s the best product or offer to drive a sale

Must have skills:  

1. Minimum 1 year of Real Data analytics and interpretation experience.

2. Proven experience to show how data analytics shaped strategy, marketing, and product. Should have multiple examples of this based on current and past experience.

3. Strong Data Engineering Skills using tools like Redshift, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Advanced Excel, PowerQuery etc

4. Good understanding of Data Sources like Branch / Clevertap / Firebase, Big Query, Google Analytics and other  analytics tools.

The main aspect is using these reports to help drive smarter business decisions. In this role, we want analysts to use the data models and reports, to draw actionable and meaningful insights. Based on the insights help drive the strategy, optimization opportunities, product improvement, and more.

Ideally candidate should demonstrate examples where data interpretation led to improvement in core business outcomes like better conversion, better ROI from Ad spends, improvements in product etc.
