360dialog is a remote-tech company, with a small office in Berlin (Germany) that has been selected by WhatsApp as one of only a few partners worldwide to exclusively provide access to and develop solutions on top of WhatsApp Business API. We provide solutions for many major brands like IKEA, REWE, PepsiCo, Carrefour, KFC, Pizza Hut as well as over 40,000 customers worldwide. This position is a duty engineering position and if you want to become experienced SRE it is for you. We expect not more than five eight hours shifts per week and your scheduling will be based on wishes e.g. if you want to work on nights or weekends or early morning times we are welcome you.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Maintaining and improving our cloud-based systems based on k8s;
• Support monitoring and logging infrastructure based on grafana stack;
• Solving tech. problems to ensure a seamless messaging experience for our users;
• Experimenting new technologies and bring them to the team to improve the quality of our setup;
• Create basic outage reports and upgrade supporting documentation

Your skills:

• Running 24×7 production Linux-based systems;
• Hands on Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) or just a certifications will be good enough
• The understanding IaaC infra, developing Terraform for infrastructures;
• Docker, CI/CD development environments;
• Creating and maintaining kubernetes clusters in production;
• Advanced understanding of Linux and its internals (memory management, scheduling, filesystems);
• Understanding of Networking, especially architectures involving Load Balancers, HTTP/TCP proxies, High availability, k8s Ingress routers;
• Basic knowledge about databases (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB), ability to run SQL queries.
• Basic knowledge of monitoring and alerting approaches

Your skills – preferred/optional qualifications:

• Indicatively 1+ years for Junior Engineers 3+ years for Middle Engineers of Kubernetes
• Experience with logging and monitoring k8s/loki/grafana/victoria metrics/prometheus/etc
• It will be great if you have proactive vision on monitoring systems improvements
