Job Description
In order to support the software engineering, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Internship within Embedded Graphical Software (d/f/m). Airbus Helicopters is engaged in a federally funded technology project “MASTER 360” along with industrial partners and research institutions. The project aims to automate the landing and takeoff flight phases of helicopter flight using sensor-based obstacle detection and automatic avoidance manoeuvres. These systems will be developed and demonstrated in a full-scale helicopter flight demonstrator. The candidate will have a great opportunity to see their contributions flying on a helicopter and tested by pilots.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Application development of the cockpit display and helmet display concept
- Software integration on the aircraft embedded mission computer
- System testing on flight simulator
- Participation in pilot-in-the-loop simulations
- Documentation and support for integration and testing on experimental helicopter
Desired skills and qualifications
- Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) within Aerospace/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Physics/ Computer Science or similar
- Passion for aviation
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- Articulate thoughts and communicate with co-workers without inhibitions
- Think and work independently with minimal supervision
- Persistent in seeking creative solutions to engineering problems
- Demonstrated programming skills (Python, C++, graphics rendering)
