What a Software Development Engineer (Manufacturing Test) does at HP:

• Develops manufacturing test solutions with product development partners and production partners to ensure product performance and
quality
• Develops and implements test software of new and existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other
engineering specifications and requirements
• Collaborates with internal and outsourced partners for project implementation and issue resolution
• Manages a project team of internal and outsourced partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality test solutions for existing and
new products
• Represents the manufacturing test team in all phases of large and complex development projects
• Provides training and technical support to users within and outside of HP
• Continuously improving software robustness, assisting quality and factory teams to troubleshoot failures and advise on product
improvements
• Reengineer test solutions to optimize throughput and reducing test cycle time

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Fresh graduates keen to pick up software engineering and image processing knowledge are welcome to apply

• Ability to understand and deal with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty
• Using software applications design tools and languages such as Python, SQL, VB, and C#
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
• Designing software applications running on multiple platform types
• Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
• Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options
