The Opportunity
From the moment you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night consider the media you consume, the adverts you see, the apps you use, the websites you browse and almost all of the shopping you do online throughout the day. Chances are that every single one of those interactions and experiences, was touched by an Adobe product.
Located in the heart of Basel, we are more than 150 engineers building Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) — powering the digital businesses of the world’s biggest brands. AEM is a cloud-native service that is always up-to-date, secure by default, and auto-scales out of the box. Operating more than 1000 enterprises and growing fast, we are challenged with super exciting computer science problems at scale.
We are looking for a forward-thinking mind who is passionate about pushing the limit of the current thinking and technology to scale AEM further. For 2024, we will have multiple internship positions open in the following areas:
- Data Science
Using vast data ecosystems, engage in advancing machine learning algorithms to transform data into actionable insights. As an intern, you will contribute to our data architecture, API services, and predictive analytics, focusing on enhancing user experience and product-usage analytics.
- GenAI
Exploring opportunities that GenAI offers with the objective of not only easing content, but also code generation for our experience management cloud service. That is a tremendous chance of contributing to our latest innovations and help us translating ordinary words and other inputs into outstanding results for our end users.
- Storage Technology
Storage for AEM Cloud Service is mission critical, aiming to delivering stunning experiences to the customers by ensuring consistency, durability and low latency in a distributed environment. As an intern you will work on various optimizations to further scale the storage to handle larger capacities, at faster performance and lower cost.
The internships have a duration of up to 6-months starting 1st of July 2024! For best internship experience we recommend on-site work in our new Basel offices.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science or related field, with expected graduation in 2025.
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, and Golang.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services and cloud-native technologies is a plus
- Ability to abstract concepts and provide generic solutions
- Detail-oriented with the capability to develop optimized, modular, and asynchronous solutions.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with both, on-site and geographically dispersed development teams.

What to expect from the recruitment process
